Recently, two newly built residential buildings celebrated their grand openings: Ten60 Bolivar and The Collins at the Riverbend. Downtown Cleveland, Inc. today announced the appointment of Nicole A. Carlton, a 32-year City of Cleveland public-safety leader, as Vice President of Public Safety. In this role, Carlton will offer concierge-style public safety services, acting as a trusted point of contact for property owners, businesses and residents. She will work closely with officials to address challenges, resolve concerns and strengthen downtown’s sense of security.

Multi-million-dollar reauthorization secures Clean & Safe program and downtown revitalization efforts through 2032

Downtown Cleveland, Inc. is committed to expanding downtown’s tree canopy and helping to reforest the Forest City.

In the past two years, we have secured nearly $100K to expand downtown’s tree canopy. In 2024, we planted 18 trees and assessed 1,300 existing trees. This year, we will plant another 36 mature trees. As part of this initiative, we planted 10 mature trees in Erie Street Cemetery this past week.

Downtown Cleveland, Inc. (DCI) is disappointed with the Greater Cleveland Partnership Executive Committee’s decision to support the Browns’ relocation. We strongly disagree with their position. DCI is uniquely qualified to speak on this issue, as our sole mission is to strengthen the heart of the city and region.

Downtown Cleveland’s popular Food Truck Series is rolling back into town May 1 through September 30. Every weekday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., five iconic locations will come to life with a rotation of 50-plus food trucks and live local music throughout the summer.

The Downtown Cleveland Improvement District will be reauthorized. In nearly 20 years of existence, property owners have repeatedly come together to support continuing essential enhanced clean, safe, and beautification services to the city’s core. This year is no different. Despite the many economic challenges that downtown property owners face, they have already rallied in support of reauthorizing the district for another term.

Downtown Cleveland, Inc. advocated and supported the recent passage of House Bill 366, the Fight Organized Retail Crime and Empower Law Enforcement (FORCE) Act, signed by Governor DeWine and enacted into law last week.
