The Science Center is turning automobiles inside out and exploring the science, technology, engineering and math that makes them go in Vroom! A Car Adventure, opening March 15. You won’t need a license to get hands on in this expansive new exhibition, developed and curated in-house by the Science Center’s Exhibits team. From a Tot Garage area for the youngest tinkerers to an exhibit that demonstrates how self-driving cars are able to see using a LIDAR sensor, Vroom! is sure to get every guest’s curiosity racing. Strap in for a wild ride as you tinker with aerodynamics while building a car to race on our giant Derby Dash ramps, or, test your reflexes and reaction time using a real drag-racing tree! Slow Roll is a social group bike ride that meets at a different location every Monday night, year round, and rides about 10 miles through the city.
DCA celebrates summer with Walnut Wednesday!
Come join the recreational Lakefront Leagues at North Coast Harbor, hosted by the City of Cleveland and Downtown Cleveland Alliance. The Lakefront Leagues are 8 week sessions of your choice of Kickball, Sand Volleyball or Bocce Ball, and are in their 4th season of activation. All league games will take place on Wednesday Evenings, starting at 6:15 – 6:30pm, throughout the summer. Each season will be capped off with a Playoff Social, a players only party to take place at the end of each regular season! Below are the specific season dates for each sport! Season 1: Kickball: (May 15 – July 10) Sand Volleyball: (May 15 – July 3) Bocce Ball: (May 15 – July 3) Season 2: Kickball: (July 31 – September 25) Sand Volleyball: (July 31 – September 18) Bocce Ball: (July 31 – September 18) Playoff Socials: Season 1 – June 26 Season 2 – September 11
The newest activation to North Coast Harbor’s wellness initiative, Ship Shape Running Club, is the perfect way to enjoy Downtown Cleveland and burn calories each Thursday evening from 6pm-7pm, May 23th through October 24th. Brought to you by the City of Cleveland and Downtown Cleveland Alliance, Ship Shape is a FREE running club welcoming runners from all fitness levels and ages. Our runs are led by area coaches hired from Fleet Feet Sports. The workout is around 1 hour and includes; warm up, run and/or circuit training and cool down. We will average 3+miles in distance (progressing in miles during the season). All runners must complete a waiver and check-in with organizer at the beginning of the run. Runs begin and end in North Coast Harbor. Routes vary week to week.

This is intelligent Bunkum of the highest order. Wunderbar began life at La Nouvelle Seine, a floating theatre in Paris on the Seine where Eddie began to improvise his new show in French. He then flipped countries and continued developing the show improvising in Berlin in German. Now after more development in English, Eddie is ready to share Wunderbar with the world… But will make sure the language fits the country! Calling all curious kids! Welcome to Camp Curiosity for summer 2019! Our camp structure has been completely revamped so the schedule is easier-than-ever to navigate. Campers can choose from all new themes with even more of the rockets, LEGOs, crazy chemistry, robots and explosive experiments they love! Some of the new kid-approved themes include, “Race to Space: Rockets to Rovers,” “Thrill Ride: The Forces of Fun,” “Ready, Player, Fun: Level Up!,” and “Sci-Quest: What Makes a Hero Super!” Camps begin June 3 and run through the week of August 12. Choose from three easy camp locations - Great Lakes Science Center, Gilmour Academy, or Westlake!
