Light Up the Lake
4th of July Fireworks and Watch Party
Downtown Cleveland, Inc. is going bigger and brighter for the Fourth of July with this year’s Light Up the Lake celebration. Presented by Minutemen Family of Companies, with additional support from the City of Cleveland and North Coast Harbor, downtown’s lakefront will celebrate America’s 250 with free, family-friendly fun, local food vendors and front-row views of Cleveland’s dazzling fireworks display over Lake Erie.
The annual Independence Day fireworks spectacular will begin at dusk after the sun sets, approximately 10 pm and last for 20 minutes.
In the event of inclement weather, the Light Up the Lake Fireworks Show will be rescheduled to Sunday, July 5. Please check Downtown Cleveland's social media channels for the latest updates and announcements.
Voinovich Park Watch Party

Hosted by Downtown Cleveland
Activities include face painting, balloon art by Balloon Vibes, make and take crafts by Crafty Fun World Entertainment, line dancing with Savvy Tempo Steppers, fun by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Metroparks, and partying with DJ Krooze! We will also be celebrating the epic release of Sony Pictures' Spider-Man with super-powered photo ops, cosplay, and more!

Parking & Tansporation
We recommend buying an all-day Greater Cleveland RTA pass for $5 to get around downtown.
Parking is available at the paid street meter parking, Great Lakes Science Center Garage located at 601 Erieside Ave. for $15, or the Purple and Tan lots located at 101 Erieside Ave. for $25 cash.
You can access Voinovich Park from the Purple and Tan lots and the Great Lakes Science Center Garage via the pedestrian bridge. (see the adjacent map)
Know Before You Go

This policy applies within the Light Up the Lake event perimeter at Voinovich Park, including all designated event areas, walkways, and roadways
Individuals 17 years of age and younger are required to be accompanied at all times by a parent or supervising adult 25 years or older
One adult may accompany up to four youths; all accompanied youths must remain with the supervising adult
Proof of age / valid ID may be required
Those who lack proper identification may be asked to leave the property
Violations of this policy, disruptive or unsafe behavior will result in removal from the event

City vending permits are not valid at Voinovich Park during this event
